Citizens in Beijing flock to snap up books from late Zhu Rongji

Following the death of former premier Zhu Rongji, many are flocking to bookstores in Beijing to buy the late Chinese leader's past publications.

After Zhu stepped down from premiership in 2003, he published books, including collections of his speeches and essays.

Some citizens say some books chronicled how Zhu's policies gave a facelift to their cities.

They include the redevelopment efforts in places including Inner Mongolia after a major flood in 1998.

Some bookstores have to rush to restock Zhu's publications, including "Zhu Rongji Meets the Press."
