HK's largest community living room opens in Tsuen Wan

An opening ceremony was held for the city's largest community living room in Tsuen Wan today. It is estimated to benefit around 92,000 people each year.

The facility offers a gym, equipment for table tennis as well as a cardiovascular screening centre. Located on Castle Peak Road, the community living room spans 7,000 square feet and is operated by Yan Chai Hospital.

Its doors will be open to the community between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., and is set to remain operational for three years.

Organisers expect those who seek shelter at the facility to increase by 10 percent owing to recent weather conditions.
