Mourners paid tribute to the victims of a deadly shooting in Thailand

a day after a student shot and killed multiple people

at a high school outside Bangkok before killing himself.

More than 20 people were also wounded

most between the ages of 12 and 14 years old.

Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province

where the shooting took place at 10 a.m. Friday.

Saturday morning and mourners are seen laying flowers

at the school's entrance.

Local resident Charin Siriananchai drives past the school

each day.

He lays flowers with his 9 and 6-year-old sons.

He says, "Of course everyone is saddened and shocked

because it was unexpected that this would happen in Thailand

and also it's quite a great loss. Although my sons don't attend

the school, I still feel very sad."

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Friday that a student,

who shot several people at a high school outside Bangkok,

had used a gun that was registered at his address.

Antin Charnvirakul, Thai Prime Minister said

The gun is a registered one and it is kept in the house.

Somewhere somehow, we don't know how, this child got access to the gun,

but it is not carried in public on a regular basis.

He confirmed that the 14-year-old gunman lived with his grandparents.

The gunman also shot and killed his grandparents

before the shooting at the school where among those killed

were five members of staff, including teachers and administrators.

Anutin said such an incident must not be allowed to happen again,

noting that the government will promote stricter gun control measures,

and relevant departments must strengthen supervision

of gun ownership situations.
