"Trees of the earth" in Xiaolangdi Dam

In the Xiaolangdi Dam area of the Yellow River in Sanmenxia in Henan, large expanses of river beaches have been exposed due to falling water levels.

The flowing water has carved continuous patterns across the surface of the shoals, resembling a series of spreading trees.
