Singer Sammi Cheng postponing concert due to stage component failure

Singer Sammi Cheng's concerts were forced to postpone with the organisers citing malfunctioning of key equipment for the show.

Cheng's three-day concerts were originally scheduled in Kai Tak, starting this Friday.

Media Asia Entertainment Group says after discovering critical component failures during stage construction and testing, the team was unable to find replacement parts and solutions before the show begins.

To ensure the concert's safety, Cheng's show on Friday to Sunday will be scaled down to a 1.5-hour-long appreciation event.

Concert ticket holders can attend the event, free-of-charge -- also held at the Kai Tak Main Hall.

Ticket holders are reminded to stay tuned to follow-up arrangements by the organisers before deciding whether they would want refunds or keep the tickets for the postponed concerts.
