Police stopped and questioned 15 people in national security operation yesterday

Police conducted a national security operation yesterday, stopping and questioning 15 people.

Police said that based on past experience and risk assessment, and in response to the situation and operational needs, personnel were deployed yesterday afternoon to maintain national security, public safety, and public order.

As of 11 pm, police in Wan Chai and the Eastern District stopped and questioned 5 men and 10 women, aged between 25 and 73. One 32-year-old local man was taken away for further investigation but was later released.
