A cross-departmental anti-terrorism drills was held in Kai Tak.
In the exercise, officers simulated a water taxi was hijacked by terrorists.
After the police tactical unit -- the Special Duties Unit officers -- swooped in and subdued the terrorists onboard, a Government Flying Service helicopter dispatched rescue workers to relocate the injured.
Police officers pursued the remaining terrorists on the shore.
Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Division personnel then worked on suspected explosives inside the vehicle.
Organised by the Government Flying Service, the exercise is part of the International Symposium on Emergency Response and Aeromedical Services which aims to strengthen cross-departmental cooperation.
