A traveller who arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia was robbed gold bars worth about 7 million Hong Kong dollars at the airport's parking lot at midnight.
Police sealed off Parking Lot No. 3 at the airport.
It is understood that the 36-year-old man arrived in Hong Kong at midnight, and was robbed while he was walking to the parking lot to pick up his car.
The three mask-donning men -- possibly aged between 20 and 30 and armed with knives robbed the man's backpack containing 6 kilograms of gold bars.
The trio then fled via a private car.
The male victim suffered injuries to his left thigh and left forearm and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
