US sanctions against mainland and Hong Kong entities

The US government is imposing sanctions against 11 people and entities, including several based in Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, claiming they support weapons procurement by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iran military.

They include a Hong Kong-based company allegedly operating within Iran's clandestine banking network, according to the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Bejing had long called for the US to stop its wrong practices against Chinese companies, so as to create a fair business environment.
