Xi Jinping expresses to expand cooperation with N.Korea during visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed willingness to expand cooperation in a wide range of areas including trade, agriculture, construction and technology with during a summit as part of his two-day state visit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un.

This while Kim affirmed North Korea and China will maintain their friendship as "the most important top-priority strategic work," the official Korean Central News Agency reported.

North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un hosted a banquet and a artistic performance for visiting China's President Xi Jinping Monday evening in the capital, Pyongyang.

The visit was Xi's first visit to North Korea in seven years. It underscored their commitment to deepen cooperation between China and North Korea and rebuild their complicated traditional alliances.
