The Education Bureau announced the results of Primary One Central Allocation via text message Wednesday morning.
A total of 16,345 students took part in this year's central allocation. 86 % of them were allocated one of their first three preferences. That is an increase of 6.5 percentage points from last year, and is a record high.
Parents are required to complete the registration procedures at the schools next Tuesday or Wednesday. Otherwise, the placement will be considered abandoned.
