CE announced direct flights between HK and Kazakhstan

Chief Executive John Lee continued his visit to Kazakhstan. He said the trip had numerous achievements, including the signing of 43 memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements.

Direct flights between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan will be launched.

He said:

"Hong Kong's airline(s) will launch direct flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan in the first quarter of next year."

"Secondly, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital development. The two sides also agreed to promote digital infrastructure development. Kazakhstan will hold a roadshow in Hong Kong to attract investors and professional service institutions."

"Regarding cooperation at the government level, substantial results were achieved. Both sides agreed to expedite consultations on signing a comprehensive double taxation avoidance agreement and discussions on an investment protection agreement."
