Puppy found dumped in Mong Kok; case listed as suspected animal abuse

A puppy was found dumped in the back alley off Hak Po Street in Mong Kok.

The case has been listed as a suspected case of animal cruelty and abandonment.

The puppy was found with discharge around its eyes and was reportedly convulsing.

An animal rescue organisation later identified the puppy as a Golden Retriever, estimated to be around two to three months old.

At around 10 a.m., a sanitation worker was clearing rubbish in the back alley when the dog was found in a garbage bag.

More investigations are underway.
