HK commerce chief lodges a protest with Panama Consul General in HK

Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau lodged a protest with the Consul General of Panama in Hong Kong over the issue.

Yau says the Panamanian government's forceful takeover has undermined the spirit of contracts.

The statement adds that CK Hutchison has made vast investments in Panama and created many jobs over the years, so the unjust action has sabotaged Panama's creditworthiness and gravely undermined international trade rules.
