Flowers bloom at markets on a warm lunar new year's eve

All 14 Lunar New Year fairs across Hong Kong will stay open overnight on New Year’s Eve until the early morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year.

At the Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair, foot traffic wasn’t heavy in the morning. Some flower stall vendors said prices this year are similar to the past few years. Some stalls have already started discounting, reducing items from 150 dollars to 100 dollars in hopes of boosting sales.

With the warm weather at year’s end this year, many festive flowers—such as peach blossoms, narcissus, and orchids—have already come into full bloom.
