With the Lunar New Year approaching, many people are heading out of town to celebrate. Yesterday, more than 726,000 departures were recorded, of which nearly 540,000 were Hong Kong residents.

Among them, 54,000 Hong Kong residents traveled to the Mainland via the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station; over 115,000 passed through Lo Wu; and more than 88,000 used the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line.

Earlier, the Immigration Department estimated that from yesterday until the 23rd of this month, there would be about 11.38 million crossings in and out of Hong Kong through various checkpoints, with most via land crossings. In particular, Lo Wu, the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, and Shenzhen Bay are expected to be extremely busy.
