For land boundary crossings, the second and third days of the Lunar New Year will likely see the heaviest traffic, with Lo Wu expected to be the busiest control point, handling around 209,000 passengers a day.
The West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station is expected to record 112,000 daily cross-boundary trips. The National Immigration Administration has instructed broder inspection authorities to step up monitoring of passenger flows and port operations, ensuring that waiting times for Chinese citizens clearing immigration do not exceed 30 minutes.
