Financial Secretary urges city to embrace opportunities provided by 15th Five Year Plan

Financial Secretary Paul Chan noted on his blog that Hong Kong must take advantage of the opportunities provided by the nation's 15th Five-Year Plan, which aims to boost innovative and technological sectors.

The FS said close to 120 companies that were listed last year raised over 280 billion dollars in sectors such as information technology, biotech and new energy.

This as Chan noted various organisations have been focusing on actively integrating themselves into the nation's strategic development, adding that the city must make use of its status as a global financial hub and supply chain finance services.

The FS also said Hong Kong successfully attracted more than 100 companies over the past three years to settle in the SAR, which brought along investment of over 60 billion dollars and some 22,000 jobs.
