Man died after being rescued from Inspiration Lake

A man died after being rescued from Inspiration Lake in Disneyland.

The victim allegedly drowned after swimming illegally in the lake.

After the incident, Disneyland announced the temporary closure of the Inspiration Lake recreation centre nearby.

Police say at about 3 p.m., security guards found a man aged about 40 to 50 went missing after swimming in the lake.

The fire department rescued the victim after about an hour of searching.

He was in a coma at the time and was taken to hospital for rescue, where he was eventually certified dead.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
