Invest Hong Kong said nearly 30 mainland and overseas companies have expressed interest in establishing a presence in the Northern Metropolis, and the government agency
is assisting with matchmaking efforts.
Speaking in a radio programme, Alpha Lau, Director-General of Invest Hong Kong said there are many types of companies, including education, international schools, and universities that want to set up operations in Hong Kong.
Logistics companies, the warehousing sector and tourism companies also expressed interest.
In addition, InvestHK assisted 560 non-local companies in establishing or expanding their businesses in Hong Kong last year, with over half from mainland China and the majority of the remainder from traditional markets such as the US and UK.
