More than 1,000 graceful swans have turned a wetland in Yining County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region into a snowy paradise, attracting crowds of tourists.

As temperatures recently dropped, the swans' glistening feathers, coupled with the snow-covered landscape, created a breathtaking scene.

Since October last year, thousands of swans, with 95 percent being mute swans, have arrived to winter at this beautiful haven.

"I captured a lovely moment of two swans forming a heart. I'm from the south, and this is the first time I've seen so much snow here. The vast expanse of white is quite breathtaking," said a tourist.

Due to the subterranean hot springs, Swan Spring Lake remains largely unfrozen in winter, making it a vital habitat for mute swans in the region.
