A 63-year-old man died on Sunday after he collapsed during a hike.
The man was taken to Eastern Hospital for treatment by the Government Flying Service. However, he was pronounced dead at the hospital at around 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The deceased and his four friends went hiking on Robin's Nest Country Trail. After a while, the man said he was unwell before he fainted.
Sources say the man was a long term diabetes and gout patient.
