我當然知道，例如有忌廉菠蘿包、漢堡包，有港式和西式，也挺不錯。

不過美食車先導計劃開始至今，有很多參加者相繼退出，而留下的參加者，只有少部分能賺取過百萬收入。

聽說在開業初期，美食車動用逾百萬裝修，開業至今仍未能回本。

Hard to stomach。Stomach是胃，甚麼是hard to stomach呢？

Hard to stomach是指令人很難受或難以消化。這處的意思是，香港小販業現已風光不再，作者認為，美食車先導計劃難以維持。

正確！我喜歡吃忌廉菠蘿包，也喜歡吃漢堡包。但有時候小販賣的臭豆腐，stinky tofu 真的讓人難以接受，我仍未能接受臭豆腐的味道(I find stinky tofu hard to stomach)。
