Immigration Dept arrested 5 illegal workers offering photography and makeup services in HK

The Immigration Department arrested five illegal mainland workers for allegedly providing photography and makeup services in Hong Kong.

Makeup products, Halloween-themed clothing and wedding gowns were seized.

This after officers found that social media platforms have recently been utilised by mainland photographers to advertise photography and makeup services in Hong Kong. After investigations and intelligence analysis, ImmD officers identified several suspected persons and initiated an operation. Officers disguised themselves as customers to enquire about and book photography and makeup services from these Mainland photographers and makeup artists. They were subsequently arrested while providing photography and makeup services in Hong Kong.

The five arrested illegal workers comprised three men and two women, aged 20 to 29. All are mainland residents.
