Burst pipe in Shau Kei Wan shattered care home window, injuring one

A water pipe burst in Shau Kei Wan, leading to one elderly woman injured.

The involved water main is located on Shau Kei Wan Road. At around 10 am, it is suspected to have burst owing to pavement works.

Police received a report that the window of a nearby elderly care home had shattered when the water pipe burst. An 82-year-old female resident sustained a foot injury and was sent to hospital for treatment.
