The police busted a scam call centre operated by the triad.
The syndicate was involved with more than 60 cases of bogus customer service scams amounting to over 10 million dollars.
Authorities earlier found the scam call centre defrauded residents into purchasing insurance packages and requested them to transfer money to bogus bank accounts.
The police managed to crack down on the syndicate at an industrial area in Kwai Chung on Monday -- arresting seven men aged between 16 and 28 responsible for making scam calls.
The call centre had been in operation for half a year, and was involved in one case that defrauded a victim 840,000 dollars.
Police officers also busted an illegal gambling den and money laundering site operated by the same group, during which 37 people were arrested.
