Tung Chee-hwa's vigil takes place at HK Funeral Home

Tung Chee-hwa, the first Chief Executive who passed away last week, had his vigil held today at the Hong Kong Funeral Home.

Wreaths were delivered one after another outside the Hong Kong Funeral Home in the morning, while staff prepared on site. Police officers were stationed nearby on high alert, and surrounding roads will be closed.

The funeral committee previously announced that the vigil for Tung Chee-hwa would take place today from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Fook Hoi Hall in the Hong Kong Funeral Home. A public memorial service will be held at 9:00 AM tomorrow, but open to invited guests only.

Starting yesterday, the Home Affairs Department set up three condolence points in Causeway Bay, Kai Tak, and Tsuen Wan, which will remain open until Sunday.
