Germany is blaming Russia for an attempted attack at Leipzig/Halle
Airport last month using a drone laden with explosives.
Berlin has announced that it would shut down a Russian consulate
among other measures against Moscow.
The drone was found near a Ukrainian plane on the evening of August 4,
and was eventually defused.
German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt says authorities found
elements such as the drone configuration, components, explosives
and detonator that are known to German authorities from
other Russian hybrid operations and the war against Ukraine.
He says the Russian consulate in Bonn will be closed, and the contract
of the Russian House, a cultural centre in Berlin, will be rescinded.
Russian President Vladimir Putin dismisses the accusations and claims
the findings are fabricated.
