Trump threatens new 50% tariffs on Canadian auto and parts

US President Donald Trump threatens a new, 50% tariffs on Canadian vehicles that is set to kick in January 1.

This as talks between the two countries failed after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney walked away from trade negotiations he says included terms that were "unfair," and vows retaliatory actions.

A US trade representative blames Canada for the state of the deal and insists its neighbours tariffs will have little impact on the American economy overall.
