President Xi receives President of Ecuador in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping holds a welcome ceremony for visiting President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Roy-Gilchrist Noboa Azin at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

At the invitation of Xi, Noboa is on an eight-day state visit to China that began Sunday.

This is his first state visit to China. A 21-gun salute was fired at the Tiananmen Square. A military band performed the anthems of Ecuador and China, respectively.

Noboa, accompanied by Xi, reviewed the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, and other Chinese officials also attended the welcome ceremony.
