Mastercard outage fixed around the afternoon

Global payments company Mastercard was experiencing disruptions in card payments in places including Hong Kong and Australia.

They include disruptions to Apple Pay through Mastercard and cash withdrawals.

The issues were fixed in the afternoon.

Replying to media inquiries, Mastercard says the glitch happened during their routine system update earlier today, leading to disruptions in some Mastercard transactions.
