Tropical storm to make landfall in Japan late Tuesday

Tropical storm Chan-hom was traveling west over the Pacific Ocean and was approaching northeastern Japan on Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The agency said the storm is expected to make a landfall late Tuesday in the greater Tokyo region and bring heavy rain and strong wind, cutting across the main archipelago toward the Korean Peninsula, the JMA said.
