Gazette notice published for the Election Committee Subsector Election

Voting for the Election Committee Subsector Ordinary Elections will take place on November 22, with the nomination period running from October 7 to October 20. A government spokesperson stated that the Chief Electoral Officer will publish notices in due course detailing the deadline and locations for submitting nomination forms, along with other relevant particulars.

The new term of the Election Committee will be formed on February 1, 2027. Out of the 1,500 seats, 982 are to be returned by election. Polling hours will run from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the central counting station will be located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
