Paul Chan calls for end of investigation into Next Digital

Financial Secretary Paul Chan has instructed censors to cease their investigation into Next Digital's affairs in accordance with the Companies Ordinance.

A government spokesperson said the FS noticed the court had already order the liquidation of Next Digital, with the company's listing status revoked under the city's Listing Rules.

This after several of Next Digital's senior staff were imprisoned after being found guilty of national security offences.

After assessing various factors, authorities concluded there is no longer the need to continue the investigation into Next Digital's affairs.
