Police have arrested a woman in connection with yesterday’s bus-needle incident, and another Citybus has since been reported with needles allegedly planted in a seat.
The latest case involved Citybus route 967 from Admiralty to Tin Shui Wai, where a passenger found two sewing needles about 3 cm long in a lower-deck rear seat.
The earlier incident involved a route 7 Citybus from Central Ferry Piers to Pok Fu Lam, where a sewing needle about 3 cm long pierced a female passenger’s buttock.
Police said they arrested a 51-year-old woman after reviewing extensive CCTV footage, and seven similar sewing needles were found at her home. She is suspected of attempted wounding and criminal damage.
