Hong Kong airport's passenger traffic exceeds five million in June

Hong Kong airport handled 5.12 million passengers in June, a 7.9% increase year-on-year. Flight movements also reached 31,940 in the same month.

In a statement, the Airport Authority says June's passenger growth was supported by a double-digit rise in transfer travellers. Cargo volume recorded a year-on-year increase of 6.8%, driving by a growth in transhipment, exports and imports.

Meanwhile, in the first half of 2026, passenger traffic rose to 11.7% year-on-year to 32.8 million, while flight movements boosted 4.4% to 200,685.
