The Police College held its passing out parade this morning. This graduating class includes 13 probationary inspectors and 131 police cadets.
Among them is an award-winning cadet, a Thai-Chinese mixed-race individual who previously worked as a kindergarten teacher. He speaks fluent Thai and hopes to assist non-Chinese communities upon graduation.
Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna served as the reviewing officer. She pointed out that the Greater Bay Area's one-hour living circle brings more frequent flows of people and goods, placing greater responsibility on the police force.
She also encouraged the graduating officers to navigate the complex geopolitical landscape while maintaining professionalism and empathy, to become guardians of the public.
