M+ Museum curates special design exhibition

M+ museum presents a family-friendly special exhibition exploring the beauty in everyday objects and how their design impact our lives.

The Hong Kong edition of Design Ah! Experience The Wonder of Everyday Design exhibition opens this Saturday at West Kowloon Cultural District's M+ museum. This edition is curated specifically for Hong Kong, incorporating many distinct elements of local culture.

Head of Design and Architecture of M+, Ikko Yokoyama, says: "So the team from Tokyo came, spend in Hong Kong for three days we started going to the cha chaan teng and eating Hong Kong food. We went to the stationery shop and looking at the common thing."

At its core, the exhibition invites visitors to discover the small details woven into everyday life.

The exhibition explores the extraordinary design concepts hidden behind the ordinary, everyday objects.

M+ Museum Director Suhanya Raffel says: "Also help you to think about negotiation, compromise, conversation. Those are also skills you need to take into your everyday life, and it also apply to how design impacts our lives. So we are all users of the objects around us and how we interact with them, plays part of how we existing and being together in the society."

The gallery space is filled with interactive works and immersive audio-visual rooms, encouraging visitors to explore first-hand how design enhances our quality of life, shapes our daily behaviours, such as the way we walk, or the way we hold objects, and fosters deeper connections between people.

Visitors can access all M+ galleries with a single-price admission ticket. There are also kid and adult combo tickets available for 250 dollars.
