HK's universities have shown improvements in QS rankings

Hong Kong's universities have shown significant improvements in the world university QS rankings.

Two local universities are now in the global top 20.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong jumped 14 places to 18th.

This while the University of Hong Kong maintained its 11th position.

In all, Five UGC-funded universities continued to rank among the world's top 100 this year, including HKUST, which rose 11 places to 33rd.

The Hong Kong SAR Government said it will support institutions in building world-class universities and disciplines.
