Kevin Choi: HK-SZ Tech Park's leasing situation deemed satisfactory

The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park at the Hetao industrial zone has been in operations for around half a year.

Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Kevin Choi who also chairs the tech park says the hub's leasing situation is satisfactory.

He says two of the three buildings ready for business operations have been fully leased. While around 70 percent of tenants are start-ups, ten tenants at the park are listed companies.

Choi says start-ups can grow alongside the larger enterprises next door.

For the two plots of land now inviting tenders, Choi says they will remain tech-and-talent focused instead of being profited by property giants.
