As lift services are suspended, residents needed to climb up the stairs while holding flashlights.

Five residential buildings and several tenants in the Phase 1 shopping mall, experienced a sudden power outage starting at noon.

About 1,000 households have been affected.

The property management office says the outage was caused by an electrical system failure at a meter room.

Emergency repair works are expected to be completed.
