Domesticated reindeers in Inner Mongolia

The Evenki people of Inner Mongolia are the only ethnic group in China that has domesticated reindeer for generations.

The region is experiencing its peak reindeer birthing season, with an estimated 300 newborn reindeer this year, bringing the total number to over 1,800.
