ICE curfew in place in Newark

The mayor of Newark has imposed a curfew around an immigration detention center in New Jersey after a series of intense clashes between protestors and police on Saturday night.

Mayor Ras Baraka said Sunday the curfew around Delaney Hall will be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. until further notice.

The move came after another night of standoffs between law enforcement and demonstrators at the facility that saw protestors fighting over barricade as police push back with shields.

One police officer on horseback was seen marching into the crowd.
