Venice Carnival pays homeage to 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan

This year's Venice Carnival is titled Olympus, paying homage to the 2026 Winter Olympics which has just opened in Milan.

The water show of the Venice Carnival took place on Friday night at the Arsenale in Venice with enchanting light effects, video projections and acrobatics by 17 performers.

Acrobats, dancers and jugglers brought "Il Richiamo di Olympia" - The Call of Olympia to life, a show that transformed the waters of the lagoon city into a stage.

The show tells the story of a Venetian fisherman who, attracted and guided by the voice of the muse Olympia, embarks on a journey and, after facing five trials.
