Police launched pedestrian safety awareness campaign

The Police launched a two-week pedestrian safety awareness campaign across Hong Kong starting Monday, reminding pedestrians to pay attention to traffic safety.

Police officers, together with some celebrities, distributed leaflets to the public near Chai Wan MTR station, reminding them to pay attention to road safety.

A promotional bus played videos about road safety for the elderly.

Police said that in the fourth quarter of last year, the number of traffic accident deaths involving the elderly increased by 55% year-on-year, and they hope to remind the elderly to pay attention to road safety through public education.
