Beijing appoints Zhang Yong as deputy director of Liaison Office in HK

The central government has appointed Zhang Yong as the deputy director of the mainland's Liaison Office in Hong Kong.

The Liaison Office introduced Zhang on its website highlighting his postgraduate academic credentials.

He used to work at the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission, and served as Executive Vice-President of Cosco Shipping Group.
