The 2025 Nujiang River Wildwater Canoeing Asian Championships opened in Lushui City, southwest China's Yunnan Province on Saturday, attracting more than 150 paddlers, including over 40 from overseas, to brave the whitewater.
Divided into professional and amateur groups, it consists of four main events of obstacle leap challenge, long distance race, short sprint race, and pursuit race.
The competition will last for three days, and all champions will be announced on Monday.
