David Beckham, one of the world's best known football players, was knighted by King Charles at Windsor Castle.
The ex-former England captain was recognised for his decades-long contribution to sport and charities.
The 50 year old was dressed in a suit designed by his wife, Victoria Beckham, a fashion designer and former member of the Spice Girls.
Beckham and Charles shared a brief but warm exchange during the ceremony.
