North Runway reopens as salvage work of cargo aircraft completed

The Airport Authority announced that the North Runway has reopened at 11 p.m. tonight.

This follows the completion of salvage work of the Emirates cargo aircraft incident.

The Guangzhou-based salvage vessels transported the jet's wreckage, including a aircraft engine and a landing gear to To Kau Wan Pier.

Meanwhile, the fuselage and other parts of the plane have been sent to a storage site, pending an examination by the Air Accident Investigation Authority.
