HK reports one imported chikungunya case and one dengue fever case

The city records one more imported chikungunya fever case and one more imported case of dengue fever.

The chikungunya case involves a 44-year-old woman living in a Yuen Long village.

She visited Kweiping in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region around late September to early October for one month before returning to Hong Kong early this week.

She has developed a fever, joint pain and rash since Wednesday, and sought medical attention at Pok Oi Hospital yesterday.

She later tested positive for the chikungunya virus. The patient is now in stable condition.
